Description

Established in Soho in 1994 before moving its main operations to Hell's Kitchen, this institution bakes around the clock to supply local restaurants and retail visitors. Beyond its signature loaves—popularized partly by its widely shared no-knead bread recipe—the counter serves up mortadella sandwiches, olive or tomato sticks, and pecorino flatbread. Sweeter options range from chocolate chip cookies to a highly praised glazed donut. While the bakery has built a loyal following, some visitors note that drink and side options can feel overpriced, and unlike other locations, butter is not automatically included with soup orders.
