Open Air Recreation and Dining
Hutchinson River Parkway Stop
At this Bronx Applebee's, diners can use a covered outdoor sitting area. Burgers and ribs anchor the American grill menu, with cocktails alongside them. Weekday happy hour food and drink specials are available at the bar area Monday through Thursday evenings. Late-night half-price appetizers are also available. The restaurant closes at 12:00 AM Sunday through Thursday and 1:00 AM Friday and Saturday. Busy hours can bring occasional service delays.

Hell's Kitchen Shellfish
Shared seafood platters define Aqua Boil, bringing Dungeness crab, snow crab legs, shrimp, clams, and large mussels to Ninth Avenue tables. Lobster arrives pre-cleaned and opened, a useful detail for group dinners. Mild Cajun sauce stays gentle, while guests can tailor the heat to taste. Nautically themed cocktails and happy hour options are also available. Weekday service runs until 2:45 PM, then resumes at 4:00 PM.

Archie Spigner Recreation Grounds
Musician's Oval anchors this Queens park with astronomical guides set into the lawn for evening stargazing. A flagpole sundial is also on the grounds. Sports areas include baseball, basketball, handball, tennis, and pickleball courts, while playgrounds and spray showers serve younger visitors. Outdoor fitness equipment and public restrooms support longer visits. Entry is free to everyone, and the park is open daily from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
