Description

Renamed in 2022, the park honors Archie Spigner, a local councilman who championed southeast Queens infrastructure and York College. At its center, the lawn—named Musician's Oval to celebrate neighborhood talents—is marked with astronomical guides indicating the best times and angles to spot real stars. Nearby, playgrounds and spray showers sit alongside courts for baseball, basketball, handball, and tennis, offering classic neighborhood recreation next to spaces designed for stargazing and reflection.
