MADRE brings Spanish inspired tapas to Greenpoint with a menu that gives seafood plenty of attention. Briny oysters sit alongside citrus forward tuna ceviche, while octopus arrives with peppers, tomatoes, and radishes. Papas bravas keeps the tapas thread going, and the kitchen also offers larger entrées made for sharing.
The restaurant occupies the base of Franklin Guesthouse on Franklin Street, pairing its cooking with creative cocktails in a stylish, relaxed setting. Wine rounds out the drinks selection. Private dining, catering, and restaurant buyouts are available for group events. Brunch adds French toast to the menu.
Service runs Wednesday and Thursday from half past five PM to 10 PM, Friday from half past five PM to 11 PM, Saturday from 11 AM to 4 PM and half past five PM to 11 PM, and Sunday from 11 AM to 4 PM, with Monday and Tuesday closed.
