Skip Dinner for Bay Views and Stage Lights
Watch ships come and go from the waterfront, then catch electronic sets before settling into a chandelier-lit North Beach room for concerts or comedy. The mix suits pairs who want open-air wandering, visual atmosphere, and performance-led plans.
Pier and Performance Stops
Bay View Launch Point
Start at Pier 3, two piers north of the Ferry Building, where the bay opens toward Coit Tower, Alcatraz, and the Bay Bridge. Anglers work the edge while you take in the water and grab a snack.
The pier is closed on Mondays, with public hours from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM Tuesday through Sunday. For a date-night finish, evening cruises leave from the dock with three decks of music and a distinct vibe on each level.

Warehouse Scale, Live Sets
At 900 Marin Street, The Midway is a San Francisco event space for live music and broader cultural experiences. The complex spans 40,000 square feet, with electronic music and immersive art among its draws. Special programming can move outdoors for block parties, adding an open-air option to a date-night route. Check the event listing for current hours and entry details before setting out for the evening.

Velvet Landmark Hall
At 1025 Columbus Avenue, Bimbo's 365 Club places live concerts and comedy in a historic North Beach room. Chandeliers, red tufted seating, and classic mid-century details shape the setting. Private receptions accommodate up to 685+ guests, with seated dinners for 150 to 475+. Its listed public hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Evening plans center on the stage and full bar. Public entry is not free.
