Bay Views and Rock
Montgomery Street Flight Window
Inside a nineteenth-century jailhouse that survived the 1906 earthquake, Barbarossa Lounge pairs Barbary Coast history with drinks and shared cheese and charcuterie boards. Happy hour runs from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday through Friday, with grog, champagne, wine, and beer flights. Alec Vlastnic leads the beverage program. The room starts relatively quiet, then picks up around 11:00 PM for a mix of seated and standing guests.

Night Lights by the Waterfront
Two piers north of the Ferry Building, Pier 3 offers free public access and views toward Coit Tower, Alcatraz, and the Bay Bridge. Anglers work the edge while visitors pause with snacks beside the water. Evening cruises leave from the dock with three decks of music, each carrying a distinct vibe. Hours run 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM Tuesday through Sunday, and the pier is closed on Mondays.

Rock on Geary Boulevard
Music history hangs on the walls at The Fillmore, where classic concert art and crystal chandeliers frame the main room. The second-floor ballroom has very limited seating and holds crowds of up to 1,000. The venue helped launch acts including Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and The Grateful Dead during San Francisco’s 1960s and 1970s psychedelic scene. Shows admit visitors aged 5 and over. A free concert poster goes home with departing guests.
