Playground and Community Plots
An Evening Starting Point
Greenwood Playground is open daily from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Trees shade the play areas, with benches overlooking the paved plaza. Children of different ages can use swings and climbing structures or bring scooters onto the pavement. Tennis and basketball courts offer adults another way to spend time outdoors. The park has functioning restrooms for longer visits. Nearby food options include a pizza slice across the street.

Garden Paths For Weekend Visitors
East 4th Street Community Garden opens to the public on Wednesday from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Volunteers care for individual plots while guests use the seating and check the physical community board for gatherings. Programming can include outdoor yoga, live music, and sound baths. Entry is free, with a sandpit for younger guests.

Shared Ground, Different Rhythms
Greenwood Playground puts physical activity at the center, with courts and climbing structures supporting several kinds of play in one public space. East 4th Street Community Garden centers on volunteer care, bringing seating and a community board alongside individually tended plots. Their common appeal is neighborhood life outdoors, expressed through recreation at the playground and cultivation and gatherings at the garden. Children can take part in both settings, with swings at the first and a sandpit at the second.
