Seattle Museum Pairs Contemporary Art With Oral Histories
Explore Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander experiences through historic neighborhood tours.
🏛️ Stories Across Communities
At Wing Luke Museum, the Chinatown International District becomes a starting point for exploring Asian Pacific American history. Community storytelling runs through the museum, with contemporary art and oral histories offering different ways into the experience. The focus extends across Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities, giving you several perspectives to spend time with during a Seattle day.
The museum takes its name from Wing Luke, the first Asian American elected official in the Pacific Northwest. It is also a Smithsonian Affiliate. Alongside its indoor program, the museum offers historic neighborhood tours, an option for taking your attention out into the district rather than keeping the whole outing indoors.
Find it at 719 S King St in Seattle. From Wednesday through Sunday, the museum opens at 10 AM and closes at 5 PM. Choose an afternoon for the art or build your outing around the neighborhood.
