Description

Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve spans a 2,000-acre wilderness island within urban San Diego, marked by high broken cliffs, deep ravines, and the nation's rarest pine tree, Pinus torreyana, which grows only here and on Santa Rosa Island. A 1923 pueblo-style structure serves as the visitor center. Along the path, the outing offers a quick walk with views of local marine ecosystems and nature viewing.
