Plan a daylight marsh walk.

🌿 After Work by the Wetlands

Close the laptop and give the evening a little breathing room. Salt Marsh Trail offers a quick walk through protected coastal wetlands, with easy birdwatching and peaceful views. For an after work stop, let the local marine ecosystems set the pace rather than filling another hour with plans.

Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve spans 2,000 acres of wilderness within urban San Diego. High broken cliffs and deep ravines shape its wider landscape, while a pueblo style structure from 1923 serves as the visitor center. The reserve also shelters the Torrey pine, found here and on Santa Rosa Island.

Find the trail at 11229 Flintkote Ave. The gates open at a quarter past 7 AM and close at sunset, a firm finish for the outing. Leave time for the return journey, then head home with the rest of the night still ahead.
