London LGBTQ+ Community Centre: Café and Books
Visit the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre on Hopton Street for a café pause, a book and space to spend time in Bankside.
📚 A Room for Everyday Belonging
The London LGBTQ+ Community Centre pairs a café with books and community space at 60-62 Hopton Street, beside Blackfriars in Bankside. Pride flags above the counter and shelves around the window give the room a relaxed setting for a quiet read or a conversation.
Its free library lets you bring or take a book. Choose a hot chocolate or soft drink at the café, browse the shelves, or sit for a while. The Centre welcomes walk-ins during its public opening times, but closes to walk-ins on Mondays and Tuesdays for community bookings. Check the current hours before travelling.
Talks, workshops and other events have their own booking and ticket arrangements. Check the current programme if a session is your reason for visiting; a café visit does not reserve an event place. The bookshops below are separate London reading stops.
