A Queens Double Cheeseburger Capped at 30 a Day
Pair house made pasta with a cocktail at this laid back neighborhood spot, then save room for polenta bread.
🍝 Pasta, Fire, and a Burger
Wood fired cooking drives the kitchen at Rolo's on Onderdonk Avenue, where house made pastas and cocktails share the menu with a run of eclectic plates. The two sheet lasagna leads the pasta side, and the fettuccine with Italian sausage and fennel balances depth of flavor with lightness. Wood fired shrimp and polenta bread fill out the rest of the table, and small plates are made for sharing.
Then comes the double cheeseburger, richly topped with caramelized onions, Dijonnais, and a pickled long hot, with only 30 served each day. Rolo's takes reservations through its website.
Dinner runs 5 PM to 10 PM Monday through Thursday and on Sunday, with Friday and Saturday going until 11 PM. Weekends add brunch from 11 AM to 3 PM before dinner service picks back up at 5 PM. Prices sit in mid priced territory for a laid back night out in Queens.
