Description

Designed by Ralph Adams Cram and completed in 1928, the High Gothic Revival structure stands as a campus centerpiece seating around 2,000 people. Its windows are notable for blending Christian iconography with secular intellectual history, ranking among the most valuable stained-glass collections in the Western Hemisphere. Inside, long reverberation times lend resonant weight to the pipe organ, giving the vast sanctuary an atmosphere suited equally to public recitals, informational tours, and quiet reflection.
