Description

Located on the North Shore Waterfront Esplanade next to the St. George Ferry Terminal, this public monument designed by Masayuki Sono consists of two towering fiberglass structures that resemble folded postcards. The structures point across the harbor toward the World Trade Center site, serving as a tribute to local residents lost in the attacks and subsequent related illnesses. The site features multiple separate descriptive walls noting the names of the individuals who lost their lives, alongside American flags flanking the grounds and views overlooking Manhattan.
