Glass Pumpkins on the Riverbank

Kingsland Point Park in Sleepy Hollow hosts the Glass Pumpkin Patch, a Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley fundraiser with hundreds of hand-blown pumpkins made by Gregory Tomb Glassblowing Studio artists. Admission is free, while parking carries a fee. The patch opens 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on October 22 to 25 and October 29 to November 1, at 299 Palmer Avenue. A portion of the proceeds goes to the charity.

Poe Moves Through Lyndhurst After Dark

Irvington Shakespeare Company stages Edgar Allan Poe's The Masque of the Red Death as a walk-through production inside the 1842 Lyndhurst Mansion at 635 South Broadway in Tarrytown. Small groups set out on timed departures in the 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM window, and the hour-long route keeps guests standing and climbing stairs. Tickets cost 45 dollars plus service fees and are non-refundable. Performances fall on October 15, 16, 18, 22 to 25, 29 and 30, with the company recommending the show for ages 12 and up.
