Patsy's Pizzeria

Founded in 1933 by Italian immigrant newlyweds Patsy and Carmella Lancieri, this East Harlem institution has long operated as a neighborhood fixture. The dining room fills with the aroma of coal-fired pizza featuring thin, crispy crusts and a smoky char. Its old-school interior combines nostalgic Italian decor with a steady stream of local families, while the fast-paced takeout counter remains cash-only. Over the decades, the room has also hosted numerous actors, singers, and political figures.
