🗽 Fifty Years Through Five Boroughs
The New York City Marathon dates to 1970, and 2026 marks 50 years since its route first ran through all five boroughs in 1976. The Expo at the Javits Center, on 11th Avenue between West 35th and West 36th Streets, celebrates that course anniversary from Thursday, October 29, through Saturday, October 31. New Balance brings a Five-Borough Collection made for the anniversary, sold online and at the Expo, with apparel from $45 to $190 and footwear from $155 to $290.
🎨 The Poster, the Tote and the Running Lab
New York or Nowhere has reimagined Brooklyn artist James Grashow's 1983 marathon woodcut as the official 2026 poster, and its Expo booth adds a commemorative mug and an Expo-exclusive limited-edition tote. At the NYRR Running Lab, coaches lead mile-by-mile course strategy sessions every day, and free pace bands cover goal finish times from 2:30 to 6:15. The top image shows the 2026 New Balance collection, and the event card photo is from the 2025 Expo.
🚇 Timing, Bibs and Getting There
Hours are 10 AM to 8 PM on Thursday and Friday and 9 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, and NYRR names Thursday from 10 AM to noon and Friday from 10 AM to 2 PM as the busiest windows at the entrance.
