Description

Designed by architect Stanley Saitowitz and founded by a survivor, the memorial anchors itself in Carmen Park with six luminous glass towers, each standing 54 feet tall to represent the six million Jews lost during the Holocaust. The structures are meticulously etched with millions of victim identification numbers alongside reflective survivor quotes. Below these transparent monuments, pits of fire generate a haunting display of rising smoke that drifts into the chambers above, creating a somber space intended to foster both education and remembrance along the busy path of the Freedom Trail.
