🗓️ All Day Saturday on Ninth Avenue

🍬 Trick or Treat Through the Market

Chelsea Market turns the whole building into a trick or treat route on Saturday, October 31, from 11 AM to 9 PM, with festive goodies at shops along the concourse. From 2 PM to 8 PM, the Chelsea Local shop offers complimentary Halloween face painting for kids and adults, a quick way to finish a costume or start one from scratch. No ticket is listed for either, and the main entrance at 75 Ninth Avenue is the easiest way in.

🎬 A Halloween Movie Marathon Inside

Dickson's Farmstand Meats shows a Halloween movie lineup through the afternoon, with Coco at noon, Hocus Pocus at 2 PM, The Addams Family at 4 PM and Ghostbusters at 6 PM, each in a two hour slot. Creamline adds its own Ghostbusters screening at 5 PM, the last of a week of nightly picks there. The listing does not say whether seating is set aside or whether a purchase is expected, and both films play at working food counters, worth arriving early and treating any open seat as a bonus.

🎃 Pier 57 Keeps It Going

A short walk west, Market 57 at Pier 57 runs its own Halloween from 11 AM to 8 PM. Kids can trick or treat at each food kiosk inside Market 57, and Halloween movies play there all day. Caricature artists draw only from noon to 6 PM, which means arriving before 6 PM for anyone who wants a portrait. The rooftop park above the market stays open late, with wide views over the Hudson River and Little Island, a quieter place to end the day.
