🌵 Let the Toppings Lead

A tiny counter on Franklin Street in Greenpoint turns out Mexico City style tacos with zero fuss. Taqueria Ramirez runs a no frills setup that keeps every bit of attention on standard tacos, seasoned meats, and fresh tortillas.

Al pastor comes shaved straight off the spit and hits the plate with a slice of pineapple. Suadero shares the spotlight, while longaniza and tripa round out the lineup for anyone ready to order past the classics. Prices stay inexpensive, which leaves room to try one of each.

The finish is all yours. Every topping is self applied, with a super umami green salsa and a super hot red salsa waiting at the counter. Go easy on the red at first, then build the heat taco by taco.

Doors open Tuesday through Sunday, noon to 10 PM, and the kitchen is closed on Mondays. Order a mix, find a spot, and dress each taco exactly the way you like it.
