Tribeca Macanese Dinner With a Basement Cocktail Bar
Chinese and Portuguese small plates and ribs sit upstairs, while dark wood and a wall of bottles wait below on Church Street.
🍸 Church Street Dinner and Basement Bar
Macao Trading Company gives a Tribeca evening two distinct settings at 311 Church Street. Upstairs, the dining room serves a Chinese and Portuguese blend of small plates and entrees, with ribs among the dishes. Start with dinner, then take the evening downstairs when a darker room and a cocktail sound more appealing.
The basement bar pairs dark wood and low light with a massive wall of bottles. Bartenders mix tall drinks over crushed ice with fresh basil, a brighter counterpoint to the moody surroundings. The venue takes its aesthetic from a 1940s gambling parlor, with a different mood on each floor.
For an earlier start, Trading Hour runs from 5 PM to 7 PM at a bar with room for larger gatherings. Make it a date or gather a small group for dinner and drinks under one roof. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, it stays open until 4 AM.
