Description

Designed in 1916 by architect Arthur Brown Jr., the 332-step descent connects Vallejo and Green streets along the edge of Pacific Heights. Flanked by grand multi-million dollar mansions and unique topiaries, the stairway doubles as a workout spot for runners and sightseers tracking vistas past the Marina District out toward Alcatraz Island.
