Lower Manhattan Pizza With Crispy Slices Above Vesey Street
Lower Manhattan pizza by the slice, plus calzones and a pastrami on rye, one flight up across from the Oculus.
🍕 Brick Oven Slices Near the Oculus
Lower Manhattan pizza gets a quieter perch at Stage Door Pizzeria, a second-floor room across from the Oculus. Brick oven slices with crisp crusts and stuffed hippie rolls lead the counter, and pizza is sold by the slice.
The kitchen also turns out calzones, strombolis, standard pies, and a popular pastrami on rye. At 26 Vesey Street, a flight of stairs leads up to the dining room, where large windows look toward the street. Indoor seating is limited, the setup is clean and casual, and staff stay patient with tourists and quick with local regulars.
Doors open at 10 AM every day, closing at 8 PM Monday through Saturday and 6 PM on Sunday. The September 11 Memorial sits nearby, which turns an inexpensive slice here into an easy pause on a downtown walk.
