Description

Founded in 1956 by a group of train enthusiasts, the museum preserves railroad history by demonstrating live, gas-mechanical, and electric railroad technology in actual operation. Beyond the trains, members built almost everything across the facility, which operates as an all-volunteer, donor-funded organization. On Sundays, weather permitting, the public can ride the running 7½-inch gauge equipment around the grounds, with tickets marked using a train emblem punch.
