For anyone spending their first holiday season in sunny Los Angeles, winter wonder has a very specific address: The Grove. Under mild California skies, the landmark outdoor destination marks its silver anniversary with the 25th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration—bringing the rare magic of standing beneath a 100-foot white fir as the season's first artificial snowfall flutters down over the crowd.
Hosted by Lance Bass, the milestone evening features an aerial drone show, a fireworks spectacular, and live performances by Nicole Scherzinger, Jason Mraz, Mark Ambor, Jamie Miller, and “O” by Cirque du Soleil alongside American Authors, Kenedi Anderson, and JYT before Santa Claus makes his grand arrival.
Arriving during the 5:00–7:00 PM window gives you time to explore The Grove or grab an early bite at nearby spots like The Original Farmers Market or American Beauty, though nearby venues fill up quickly on event night. The celebration is complimentary and filmed for television broadcast (attendance serves as consent to be filmed). Onsite garage parking rates are subject to change, so ridesharing is strongly recommended before plaza capacity is reached. If you miss the lighting ceremony, The Grove’s signature snowfall returns nightly at 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM from November 17 through January 3, 2027.
