⏳ Why Book Before It Ends
Yoshoku Nakago is the second chapter of THE GALLERY by Odo's Culinary Exhibition Series, where a Japanese chef cooks in New York and then hands the recipes to the Odo team. Chef Nakago Matsumoto, who opened his Kyoto restaurant in a century-old townhouse in 2023, finishes a four-stage handover, and weekly remote quality checks continue until the final service on November 22, when this limited-time set menu ends.

🥩 What's on the Set Menus
Lunch costs $38 and pairs a coleslaw and potato salad starter, rice and corn soup with one main: menchikatsu, Japanese hamburger steak, beef stew or pork ginger, followed by gâteau au chocolat. The menchikatsu, a crisp minced-meat cutlet, comes finished with the chef's house demi-glace. Dinner is a separate $70 set that adds sweet corn soup with Kyoto namafu, fried shrimp and spaghetti Napolitan, and extra entrées run $22.

📍 Planning the Visit
Lunch runs from 11:45 AM to 2:30 PM and dinner from 5:00 to 10:30 PM at 17 West 20th Street, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. Reservations go through the restaurant's booking page, and the $38 lunch is the lighter way in for a first taste. Chef Matsumoto trained in French cooking and ran the kitchen at Kyoto's Bistro Sept. After lunch, Madison Square Park is a few blocks north for a short walk.
