Korean Tofu Pockets Piled With Torched Salmon and Bulgogi in SoHo

Grabbing a kraft box of stuffed yubu for a fast, inexpensive lunch, then claiming a seat by the front window.

Grab a yubu lunch on Grand Street.

🍱 Tofu Pockets, Loaded

Look for the red awning at 46 Grand Street, where pendant bulbs hang behind the glass and a small red sign swings off the facade. Behind the big front windows, YUBU SoHo turns out Korean yubu, golden tofu pockets packed with seasoned rice and piled high with toppings. Torched salmon, bulgogi, spicy pork, crabmeat, and spicy chicken all make appearances, and every order lands in a kraft paper box with wooden chopsticks on the side.

The pockets run smaller than they look online. A set of three makes a quick, inexpensive lunch, and a set of eight works for sharing. Add a mango matcha latte, the drink reviewers keep bringing up, and grab a seat by the window to watch Grand Street roll past.

Service is fast, pickup is available, and nearly 600 reviewers rate it 4.6. Doors open from 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM every day, and there is no public restroom inside, a detail worth knowing before a long lunch.
