Description

As Washington's only National Park site dedicated to water plants, the grounds center on historic aquatic ponds and surrounding marshlands. Trails across the wetlands offer direct looks at turtles, frogs, and countless bird species that populate the habitat. While the space operates as a peaceful natural escape within the city year-round, interest concentrates most heavily in summer when the water lilies and lotuses reach full bloom.
