Join a $20 Guided Bird Walk in Central Park
Show up with no gear and no experience; the two leaders find the birds and name what the group sees.

Arrive a few minutes before 9:30. The group meets in front of the Boathouse, at 74th Street and East Drive, and leaves five minutes after the posted start. Pay twenty dollars in cash to Bob DeCandido or Deborah Allen. No registration, no payment ahead.
No birding experience needed. The leaders run these Sundays for newcomers and veterans alike, naming what the group sees. Three hours on foot, and you can leave whenever you like. The leader spots what a first timer would walk straight past. Binoculars rent for ten dollars a pair, reserved by email. The next confirmed Sundays are November 1 and November 8, both 9:30 only. Walks continue through winter, cancelled only for severe weather.
