🥩 Beef Meets the Grill

At Yakiniku Gen East Village, the cooking happens right at your table. The casual Japanese barbecue restaurant at 218 East 9th Street centers the meal on thick cut beef tongue and premium cuts. You take part in the preparation, turning a restaurant order into a meal with something to do between bites.

The Assorted Premium Beef Set offers a starting point for the order. Dipping sauces include sweet tinged soy and a lemony seafood flavor, giving you contrasting flavors to pair with the meat. Try each sauce in turn, or keep a favorite within reach.

Sake and specialty drinks give you something to sip alongside the food. Side dishes are ordered separately, leaving room to put together the rest of the meal around your chosen cuts.

The restaurant opens daily from noon to 3 PM, then again from 5 PM to 10 PM.
