Description

Set on the UIC campus, the museum occupies the Hull mansion and the Residents' Dining Hall, maintaining the domestic feel of a lived-in residence. Alongside personal artifacts like Addams's dress, books, death mask, and a scale model of the original complex, the exhibits involve a fair amount of reading. The curation deliberately uses questions to prompt critical thinking about the community and its broader social legacy, whether explored independently or through a public guided tour.
