Carne Mare brings prime cuts and fresh seafood to Pier 17, with Brooklyn Bridge views across its waterfront setting. Chef Andrew Carmellini is behind this Italian chophouse in the Seaport district, at 89 South St.
The signature Wagyu striploin is cured with Gorgonzola, giving the steak menu its Italian inflection. Finish with the multilayer chocolate cake, another signature from the kitchen. Settle into the sophisticated dining room, take a seat at the wraparound bar or make a meal of it on the patio.
Lunch runs Monday through Friday from noon to 3 PM, brunch Saturday and Sunday from half past eleven AM to 3 PM, and weekend afternoon service from 3 PM to 5 PM.
