Description

On the Hudson River, the aircraft carrier Intrepid hosts a collection that spans naval history and space technology. Visitors can board the world’s first space shuttle, a nuclear-capable submarine, and the Concorde, the fastest commercial airliner ever flown. The carrier itself is a semi-open-air museum with military aircraft on the flight deck and interior spaces showing where sailors slept and ate, including interviews from crew members who served aboard. A kid-friendly interactive section and a submarine tour included with admission round out the offerings.
