How to Eat Solo at a Sharing-Plates Restaurant

ABC Cocina builds its menu for tables, but the bar and the early seat make it a reasonable room for one.

Order two plates at the bar.

🍷 A Table Built for One

A sharing menu is not built for one person, and ABC Cocina does not pretend otherwise. The answer is the bar, where one order of spiced cauliflower tacos, a plate of mushrooms with goat cheese and a salsa reads as a complete meal rather than a compromise. Ask what leaves the kitchen fastest and let that set the order. Portions are small by design, so two plates beat one. The room is calmest at four, and the bar keeps you out of the two-tops that other diners are waiting on.
