🕹️ The Arcade That Fought Back

In early October, Paramount and Legendary set up a life-size Street Fighter cabinet in Times Square to promote the new film, which opens in theaters on October 16. Inside a glass box on top, costumed performers playing Ryu and Ken fought on a live stage, and they reacted in real time to every press of the giant joystick and buttons from the crowd. Noah Centineo, who plays Ken, also joined the action.

The cabinet is gone now. Father Duffy Square still holds the crossroads, with its red steps above the TKTS booth, a bronze statue of Father Duffy, and access around the clock.
