🧆 Hummus and Kebabs Between Sets
Olive Tree Cafe is the street level Greenwich Village Middle Eastern cafe at 117 MacDougal Street, where comedians break bread between sets. Hummus and kebabs lead the menu, served in a dining room of stained glass lamps and worn wooden tables, and the house claims many memorable bits of American comedy took shape over those same tables.
Monday is the night to circle. The Olive Tree Madmen play live music every Monday evening, giving dinner a soundtrack before or after a comedy show. Choose dine in for the room and the music, or takeaway when the evening points elsewhere in the Village.
Doors open at noon every day and the kitchen stays open until 4 AM the following morning. That long stretch covers a late lunch, a pre show dinner or a plate of hummus deep into the night.
