Greek Street Eats Meet Mykonos Style on the Lower East Side

Browse snacks at a traditional periptero between rounds of dips and larger plates.

Try dips and a larger plate.

🇬🇷 A Periptero Across the Bar

Step off the Lower East Side sidewalk and into Souvlaki GR at 116 Stanton Street. This cozy Greek spot is styled like a cobbled Mykonos street, a shift in scenery before you even reach the menu. The brand opened its first permanent restaurant here in 2011, giving this address a specific place in its story.

Start with shareable pita zas and dips like tzatziki and hummus, then turn to moussaka when you want a larger plate. An intimate bar serves signature cocktails directly across from a traditional periptero selling Greek snacks. Leave a little room to browse that snack selection between bites.

The restaurant opens daily at 11 AM and closes at 11 PM Sunday through Thursday, with service until midnight on Friday and Saturday. Choose those later evenings for a meal that can stretch beyond the usual weekday cutoff.
