Description

Named after the Brooklyn Dodgers legend, this site—also known as the Carroll Street Garden—serves as a shared space for families, local businesses, and community groups. The layout features raised vegetable beds, a composting station, and an outdoor classroom. In 2013, it became the first NYRP garden to implement a stormwater system that prevents runoff from draining untreated into the Gowanus Canal.
