🥭 Eat What Falls

Nothing gets picked at Fruit & Spice Park, but any fruit that has fallen and that you can identify is yours to eat on the spot. Nothing leaves the park, and staff may inspect bags. The 37 acres hold more than 500 varieties, open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The Garden Tram is free with admission and leaves at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. with a guide who covers the plantings. The tasting tours at noon and 3 p.m. are booked and paid separately, cap at 30 people, and want a call to 305-247-5727 at least 30 minutes ahead. Lightning within 10 miles can delay the tram 30 minutes or cancel it, and no single fruit is guaranteed ripe on the day you visit.

Adults 12 and up pay $15, ages 6 to 11 $8, and 5 and under get in free, sold only at the gate. On Tuesdays, Homestead locals show a license with a Homestead address for half off. The address is 24801 SW 187th Ave, about 35 miles south of Miami.
