Midtown East Food and Cathedral Route
The Hugh on East 53rd Street
Under a lush, skylit atrium, The Hugh brings more than a dozen global dining stalls into one Midtown food hall. A sprawling mix of seating supports group gatherings, while multiple bars add another stopping point. Vendors cover cuisines from Senegalese and Middle Eastern to Jamaican, Korean, and German or Turkish. The hall runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Restaurant hours vary by vendor, and select restaurants open on weekends.

Pesce Lulu on Lexington Avenue
At Pesce Lulu, sustainably sourced seafood anchors a fast-casual menu inside The Hugh. Weekday service ends at 5:00 PM, with doors open Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM. Fish tacos and Cajun salmon burgers give a midday stop a clear seafood focus. Vegan options come with signature sauces, and the drinks include coastal wines, craft beer, and cocktails. The compact dining area sits within the larger marketplace.

St. Patrick's Cathedral on Fifth Avenue
St. Patrick's Cathedral stands directly opposite Rockefeller Center. Gothic Revival arches rise over the soaring nave. Stained glass fills the windows. James Renwick Jr. designed the cathedral. It opened in 1879 after more than two decades of construction. The active church is freely open to walk through. Visitors can light a candle or pause for quiet reflection. Check the current opening hours before adding this stop to an evening route.
