🍝 Carbonara and Lasagna on Mulberry

Grotta Azzurra takes its name from the famous blue grotto in Capri. The Little Italy restaurant began in 1908 and was once a hangout for stars including Robert De Niro. Frank Sinatra was also among the stars who spent time here. After a hiatus, chef Frank Castellana revived the restaurant with a focus on traditional Mediterranean flavors.

Fresh bread and olive oil lead into a menu of comforting Italian staples. Spaghetti carbonara and the house lasagna give you two starting points for a meal here. The room has booth dining areas and standing bar tables, with a lively atmosphere throughout. Round out the evening with limoncello.

You will find it at 177 Mulberry Street, ready for lunch or dinner. It opens daily at noon and closes at 9 PM Sunday through Thursday, with Friday and Saturday service continuing until 10 PM.
