🍗 Bird and Sides

Poulet Sans Tête takes its cue from French sidewalk rotisseries, and this Upper West Side shop keeps the spit turning from noon onward. The idea started inside Left Bank restaurant in 2018, then grew into its own intimate room on Amsterdam Avenue.

The star is a boldly seasoned three and a half pound bird, spit roasted and served with a flavorful jus and house made sauces. Pile on the sides, from rich mac and cheese to dripping potatoes that soak up everything on the plate. Skip the whole bird and a year round Thanksgiving style sandwich covers that craving in any month.

Grab a stool at the counter, settle in at a table, or carry the whole spread home, with takeout and delivery both on offer. Doors open every day at noon and the kitchen runs until 9 PM daily, an easy fit for lunch or an early dinner on the way home.
