French Accented Mexican Plates With 150 Mexican Wines
Pour through the country's first all Mexican wine list alongside Chef Luis Arce Mota's West Village plates.
🍷 First All Mexican List
Chef owner Luis Arce Mota brings French accented Mexican plates to La Contenta Oeste, a West Village restaurant and bar with a traditional menu and a vast agave selection. Chips arrive heaped with guacamole and pico de gallo, and nachos come streaked with crema and salsa, a loose opening before the bottles start to move.
The beverage program is the headline at 78 West 11th Street, with over 150 different bottles of Mexican wine on a list described as the first of its kind in the United States. Let a glass from the list guide the second round, then move into the agave pours for a fuller read on the bar.
Doors open at 3 PM Monday through Wednesday, at 2 PM on Thursday and Friday, and at noon on the weekend, with closing at 10 PM Sunday through Wednesday and at midnight Thursday through Saturday. The late weekend hours leave room for a slow dinner that drifts into one more pour.
