Southern California’s oldest grist mill pairs thick 1816 adobe walls with serene gardens and rotating art.
Description

Constructed around 1816 by Gabriel Moraga for Mission San Gabriel Arcángel, the building originally utilized water power to grind wheat into flour. Beneath its red tile roofs, the interior houses historical exhibits alongside local art, while the surrounding grounds are maintained as accredited arboretum gardens in San Marino.
