Annapolis Waterfront Park With Shell Trails and a Crabbing Pier
Walk the crushed shell loop, try hand line crabbing off the pier, then picnic by Back Creek at any hour.
🐚 Along The Shell Trail
Crushed shell trails give a waterfront walk a different texture at Ellen O Moyer Nature Park at Back Creek. The compact Annapolis park is designed for a quick outing, with wooden boardwalk sections overlooking the water off the main trail. Follow the loop at your own pace, with the creek as the backdrop.
A small public pier makes room for hand lines for crabbing, alongside a kayak launch for getting out onto the water. Choose a stroll on foot or bring a kayak for another perspective on the shoreline. There is space here for both a short walk and a longer pause by the creek.
The picnic pavilion operates in partnership with the Annapolis Maritime Museum. Picnic space sits right along the shore, giving you somewhere to settle after the loop. Find the park at 7314 Edgewood Rd. It is open twenty four hours every day.
