Hane Sushi puts Japanese fusion alongside familiar roll orders at 346 First Avenue. Behind the brightly lit, renovated storefront, salmon avocado and spicy tuna share the menu with tempura, teriyaki and hibachi. There is room to build a meal around the standard rolls or bring several different dishes to the table. Make your first order the Crispy Eel roll, the kitchen specialty.
The drinks list runs through sake, martinis and oversized beers, with nightly two for one drinks in the mix. Outdoor tables line a quiet side street for a relaxed meal, while lunch specials give the daytime menu its own draw.
It opens daily from noon to half past three PM, then from 5 PM to 10 PM Sunday through Thursday and half past ten PM Friday and Saturday. Takeout and delivery are also available for a meal at home.
