4.7 (1,740)attraction
The main interpretive hub for Grand Teton, pairing interactive mountaineering exhibits and park films with sweeping mountain views.
Description

As the main base for Grand Teton National Park, this facility serves as an essential transition between the trailhead and the wilderness. Beyond its practical role in issuing permits and selling park passes, the center functions as a cultural and geological primer. Visitors can engage with interactive exhibits on mountaineering and local Indigenous history, or retreat to the 154-seat auditorium to watch high-definition screenings, including segments on wildlife migration. The building is defined by its large windows framing the Teton Range, allowing for a structured look at the landscape before venturing deeper into the park. It also hosts the Grand Teton Association bookstore and provides a full-service environment for trip planning through its dedicated ranger counters.
