Description

As the only US museum devoted exclusively to historical and contemporary design, the gallery space invites visitors to consider the decisions behind everyday objects. While the first floor hosts a collection overview, Design Across Time, the upper levels showcase changing temporary exhibits. Preserved architectural details run throughout the building, and a touch screen display outlines the mansion's history. Outside, visitors can sit in the courtyard garden with a drink from the annex café or browse the design shop.
