Description

Housed in an 1893 train depot that served the Hudson River line until 1954, the restaurant sits just a short walk from the Cold Spring Metro-North station. After passing through years as a car dealership, the building opened as a restaurant in 1972 and took its current form in 1985. Inside, the space features a cozy setting with a roaring fireplace and bookshelves lining the walls, complemented by outdoor gardens and a clam bar. Positioned literally right next to the train tracks, the spot draws hikers, bikers, and city visitors, though diners note that frequent passing trains can quickly wear off their initial novelty.
