Description
Beyond the museum galleries, the complex houses the University of Chicago’s Department of Art History within limestone-paneled buildings. At its center, the courtyard was redesigned in 2008 in partnership with UrbanLab, setting outdoor art amid river stones and a grid of natural spacers. The grounds also feature pieces that contrast with the setting, including notable lions that stand out from the surrounding art and architecture.
